Vegetarian Festival (kin Jay)_Thailand

Started about 150 years ago in the Kathu district,China. Come to Phuket from Chinese workers were settled in there. During the Chinese ninth lunar month (October) observe 10 days vegetarian diet. Vegetarian will cleansing and merit-making and wear white clothes.

Sacred rituals are performed at various Chinese shrines and temples and aesthetic displays such as walking barefooted over hot coals and ascending ladders with bladed rungs are performed by entranced devotees known as "Ma Song".

Kin Jay in Phuket and Bangkok China town is famous. They have big celebration by several ascetic displays, including fire-walking and ascending sharp-bladed ladder.

How to doing “Kin Jay” vegetarian festival?

and certain spices
